Bergen's pride
S/S Statsraad Lehmkuhl is the world's largest 3-masted barque. Renting the characteristic schooner is an old dream for those in Bergen who are fond of boats. At the same time, there is no lack of inquiries about renting it for events elsewhere in Norway, or abroad for that matter. The impressive goals on the State Council alone are a strong experience for most of the passengers - both during sailing and at berth. An evening at the State Council will in any case be the highlight of an event.
The fixed archipelago trips to Statsraad Lehmkuhl take place in the evening and last approximately 5 hours, but the boat is also available for hire at the customer's request. If you want to hire a boat to give your guests a grand experience, the old school ship is a safe bet. On boarding, most people are immediately taken by the impressive dimensions, where over 2,000 square meters of sail cover the nearly 50-metre-high masts. Gradually, the spirit of the hundreds of thousands of nautical miles covered also seeps into the guests, and together with the thought of age-appropriate school discipline and the millions of drops of sweat that are embedded in each polished deck plank, the experience becomes a memory for life:
She is Norway's most beautiful! Biggest, oldest, full of memories from that time... Precious wood, polished brass, creaking woodwork. Statsraad Lehmkuhl smells of nostalgia, tar and brackish seas. She has not changed much since 1914. Beautifully restored! A thought modernized! She is a dream…
If sailing on Bøljan Blue is not on the wish list, Statsraad Lehmkuhl can also be rented when it is docked. This primarily applies before 16.00 on days when she is going on an archipelago trip in the evening.
