This privacy policy describes how Maritime Tours AS collects and processes personal data. Maritime Tours AS processes personal data about you when you visit our websites, use our services, or otherwise come into contact with us.
Maritime Tours AS processes personal data in line with the laws and regulations in force at all times, and in accordance with any decisions made by public authorities. By ordering and using our services, you consent to Maritime Tours AS processing personal data in accordance with this privacy policy and to the limits set by the legislation in force at any given time. We are concerned that you feel rest assured that your personal data will be processed in a responsible manner.
This privacy policy tells you how we collect personal data and what we use it for. It also contains information about how we secure the personal data, who we share it with and your rights.

1. What is personal data?
Personal information is any information that can be linked to an individual, directly or indirectly, including name, postal address, e-mail address, IP address and telephone number etc.
2. The purpose of storing personal information
Maritime Tours AS offers transport and event services. In order to deliver these services to customers, we need to collect relevant personal data. Providing this personal information is voluntary, but necessary to maintain a customer relationship. Maritime Tours AS expects that every customer has obtained consent from their employees to be registered in our systems.
3. Who is responsible for processing?
Lerøen Datapartner AS (Fantoftvegen 38, 5072 Bergen), by the general manager, is responsible for the processing of the personal data we process in connection with the use of our websites and services. Information collected in connection with contact with customers via the website and operation of the website is stored on own servers operated by Lerøen Datapartner AS. Only Maritime Tours AS has access to the information collected.
4. The legal basis for the treatment
We have grounds for processing personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act Section 8 and the EU Privacy Directive 95/46/EC Article 7, both because the processing of personal data is necessary to carry out orders (Personal Data Protection Act Section 8 a)) and Privacy Directives Article 7 b)). It is voluntary for those who visit the website to provide personal information in connection with services such as receiving newsletters, booking trips and sending inquiries. In these cases, the basis for processing is consent from or an agreement with you, unless otherwise specified.
5. Personal information processed by Maritime Tours ASOnline Statistics
Maritime Tours AS collects de-identified information about visitors to www.maritimetours.no. We use common Internet technologies, including Google Analytics, to collect information about users so that we can at all times facilitate the best possible functionality and further develop the information offered on the website. This information is obtained from your computer's browser and may include IP address, operating system, browser software and screen resolution. This allows the website to remember your actions or preferences over time. www.maritimetours.no uses the following cookies: Statistics and information about how visitors use our websites. We aggregate information and create reports that help us improve the experience. The tools use first-party cookies only to collect data. These cookies, and the data collected, are anonymised and cannot be used to identify you as a person.
We use cookies to track users when they navigate back and forth between the different sub-pages in our website, so that we can improve our pages. In addition, cookies are used to store items in the shopping basket when shopping in our online store.

Maritime Tours AS samler inn og behandler følgende data om våre brukere ved innsendt henvendelse:

C) Email adress: To enable electronic communication with customers. We also send out newsletters from time to time about our services in addition to information we think our customers need.

When ordering through our booking system, which is operated by the company Screentek AS, the following information about you is stored:

Date of birth / age
Card data
The information is stored to give us the opportunity to provide you as a customer with the best possible service. By giving your name when ordering, it will be easy for our administration and staff to find your order.
We send you booking confirmation and relevant tour information by email, and do not use your email address for marketing without your consent to this. Your telephone number is useful for us when we need to contact you quickly regarding your order.
In some cases, the full name and date of birth/age of our travelers is a statutory security requirement: Regulations on counting and registration of occupants on passenger ships §6. Registration. Birth data or age can also be used in our booking system to be able to give you the correct prices.
We can also process information registered in connection with the order, for example travel destination, requests for special meals or special information from you about your state of health or other things within the framework of the customer relationship. You provide personal information yourself in connection with booking a trip, by telephone or by visiting one of our outlets.
When making a card payment, you are forwarded to our provider of digital payment solutions, Stripe. Your card data is stored securely here and can only be used by our employees when refunding money when canceling a trip. In such cases, we still do not have access to complete information about your card.
5. How do we secure your information?
Maritime Tours AS has established rules and routines for the protection of personal data and privacy. If we collect or pass on sensitive personal data, we use recognized methods to protect the information.
If we pass on your personal data to a third party, we will make sure that there are arrangements and agreements that secure the data and prevent the third party from using the personal data for purposes other than those agreed upon. We will use all reasonable precautions to ensure that our employees, and third parties who have access to information about you, have adequate information to ensure that they only process that information in accordance with this statement and our obligations under privacy legislation.
6. Deletion of personal data
Maritime Tours AS has established rules and routines for deleting personal data in accordance with current privacy legislation. Information is deleted no later than one year after the user is no longer considered an active user of our website and our services. Personal data related to invoicing is stored separately and must be secured for 10 years in line with the Accounting Act.
7. Who do we share information with?
Unless you have given special consent to the disclosure of personal data, your personal data will only be disclosed to others where this is necessary to fulfill our assignment obligation. We also share personal data with our subcontractors, possibly also with public authorities if there is a statutory disclosure obligation. Unless you are informed otherwise, the personal data that Maritime Tours AS processes is stored on servers located in Norway and/or within the EU/EEA area.
8. Your rights
If Maritime Tours AS processes personal information about you, you have the right to access your own information. If the personal information is incorrect, incomplete or there is no access to process it, you can also ask Maritime Tours AS to correct the information. See contact information at the beginning of the declaration. We do not process and store information about you longer than is necessary for the intended purpose or for what is required in accordance with concluded agreements and not beyond the limits of the law. We delete personal data when a user gives notice that he/she no longer wishes to use the service. For example, your e-mail address that is used for sending newsletters will be deleted when you cancel your subscription. 9. Enforcement of this Privacy Policy
Maritime Tours AS can use the information that we collect about you when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact, or take legal action against persons or companies that may harm you, us, or others. We may also disclose your information when we believe the law requires it, and as part of payment collection where there are factual reasons.
10. Consent, choice of law and venue
This Privacy Statement applies to all users of www.maritimetours.no. We require users to agree to abide by the Statement as part of our relationship. By using our website, you accept that your personal data can be processed in accordance with this Privacy Statement, including being transferred to data processors as described in the statement. Maritime Tours AS is subject to Norwegian law. You agree that any disputes shall be dealt with by a court in Norway in accordance with the laws of Norway, unless otherwise follows from preceptorial local law.
11. Changes to the declaration
Maritime Tours AS reserves the right to change or update the Privacy Policy. All changes are valid from the time they are posted, and will include information collected from that date as well as existing information held by Maritime Tours AS.
