Conditions for purchase and participation in scheduled tours.
Scheduled trips are all activities with fixed departures as published on our website.
Confirmation
The order is binding when you have received written confirmation from Maritime Tours that payment has been received. Maritime Tours is then responsible for delivering the products/events you have ordered, while at the same time you become financially responsible for the order. The moment you make an order, you confirm that you have the authority to accept on behalf of yourself and any travel companions.
You accept responsibility for payment being made to us for all travelers in your entourage. You yourself are responsible for ensuring that the reservation is in accordance with the order. You will be responsible for ensuring that everyone in your traveling party is kept fully informed of what has been ordered and of any changes.
Cancellation
You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 72 hours before departure for the activity. The amount paid will be refunded in full. No refund can be expected for cancellations less than 72 hours before departure.
Complaints
Any complaints related to the delivery from Maritime Tours must be reported in writing within 5 days of the completed event. Complaints submitted later than this deadline will not be given any form of financial compensation.
Description of execution
Maritime Tours reserves the right to change tours and programs due to weather conditions and in case of low participation. All programs and trips may be changed or canceled for safety reasons. In the event of cancellation on our part, the amount paid will be refunded in full. The participant who has booked the trip will mainly be contacted by e-mail used when booking. It is therefore important that the participant checks their e-mail regularly for messages.
Responsibility
The organizer is insured through its insurance agent. Participants must also have current travel insurance. Maritime Tours cannot be held responsible for losses and additional costs due to delays beyond the company's control such as strikes, accidents, illness or other conditions that fall under force majeure. Maritime Tours AS is not responsible for valuables brought by the customer, such as bags, glasses, camera/telephone, clothes etc.
Customer's duty
The participants themselves are responsible for assessing whether they are physically and mentally fit to participate in booked trips. The customer must comply with the regulations and instructions given by the organiser.
Maritime Tours reserves the right to refuse participation on a trip if the customer is a threat to safety, either for himself or the other participants, or if the customer behaves in such a way that he/she is a major nuisance to the other participants.
Participants on our tours confirm with their reservation that there are no medical reasons to doubt their participation in the described program. Instructions by personnel must be observed. In cases where this is not followed, our personnel have permission to reject the participant from further participation in the tour. In such cases, the participant will not be entitled to a refund.
In the event that a participant cancels his or her participation in a trip or in a program at his or her own request, he or she has no claim to a refund.
Disputes
Any disputes between the customer and Maritime Tours are subject to the jurisdiction of the local courts where Maritime Tours AS is located.
